This is a caricature of James Holloway, the director of the Scottish National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh. In 2006 he curated the Scottish Cartoon Art Studio's huge caricature exhibition 'Fizzers' (the first time contemporary caricature had been exhibited in the museum and a runaway success). The Studio presented this painting to him as a thank you gift on opening night.
